Unit Title: Teaching Experience 1
This unit is the first professional experience unit for the ECE teacher trainees and focuses on students developing links between theory and practice in early childhood education. This professional attachment will introduce them to the school environment and help them to develop key skills that provide the basis for all future learning. During attachment students will build on the development of personal and professional attributes, and abilities for effective interactions with all children and adults in the lives of those children. This professional experience unit involves 4 to 6 weeks of placement in early childhood settings catering for children three to five years and their families.
