Friday 17 April, 2026
The Solomon Islands National University (SINU) on Thursday 16 April successfully convened an External Stakeholder Consultation on its draft 2026β2030 Strategic Plan.
According to SINU Director of the Institutional Planning Division (IPD), Mr Darius Ramo, the consultation is a critical step in the planning process as it provides an opportunity to present the draft Strategic Plan 2026β2030 for review and input from key stakeholders.
He added that the consultation also enables the IPD to gather feedback from partners to further strengthen the plan before its final endorsement. In addition, he noted that it allows stakeholders to confirm that the planβs pillars and objectives align with national needs and priorities, while also fostering shared ownership and commitment among key partners.
Speaking at the consultation, Pro Vice-Chancellor Corporate (PVCC) and Acting Vice-Chancellor, Dr William Parairato, welcomed and thanked representatives of various stakeholder groups for taking the time to participate in the discussion.
Dr Parairato emphasised that the successful implementation of the SINU 2026β2030 Strategic Plan will require the collaborative effort, dedication, and input of all stakeholders, including government, development partners, private sector entities, and friends of the University. He also expressed appreciation to all representatives who attended the consultation.
The SINU draft 2026β2030 Strategic Plan is now in its final stages of development and is expected to be completed and officially launched soon.
