Welcome to the SINU Security Studies page. Hosted by Solomon Islands National University (SINU), the Security Briefing Series is a platform for accessible, policy-relevant research and analysis on contemporary security issues. Funded by the Australian Government, the series is developed in close collaboration with academics and experts based in the Solomon Islands to ensure that outputs are grounded in local knowledge, priorities, and lived realities.
The series aims to foster critical dialogue and knowledge exchange across sectors, connecting research, policy, and practice. While rooted in the Solomon Islands context, it engages with broader regional dynamics across the Pacific and contributes to global conversations on security. By bringing together diverse perspectives —from academia, government, civil society, and practice—the series supports evidence-informed approaches to complex challenges and promotes contextually relevant, forward-looking responses to security in the region and beyond.
