Overview
The Bachelor of Business Entrepreneurship program aims to equip students with the right knowledge and tools to become successful entrepreneurs in the country. The study of Business Entrepreneurship focuses on the process of designing and launching a business model and plan based on business opportunities and ideas that students identify and evaluate. In the program, students will be equipped with entrepreneurial skills and knowledge including business plan development, strategic planning, marketing research and strategies, human resources management, organizational behaviour and risk management, , mentoring, coaching and consulting , management accounting, financial management and project management. In addition, students will learn how to do industry and market analysis supplemented by business research skills to ascertain the viability and profitability of their business ideas and models In the final semester of study, students will be required to do 180 hours of practicum – internship work in order to apply the skills and knowledge they would have acquired in a real business setting.
Students graduating from the Bachelor of Business Entrepreneurship program have numerous options of employment including becoming entrepreneurs themselves. Students can apply the skills, knowledge and tools acquired in their study program to many facets of business.
Admission Requirements
To be admitted to this course:
- Completed Year 13/ Form 7 Arts or Science or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 2.50 and above, and a minimum grade of B and above in English, Math and Accounting or
- Completed Certificate in Business Studies – Finance or Administration, Diploma of Business Studies – Finance or Administration or
- Work experience of 3 years and above in respective subject area or
- Completed Year 12/Form 6 Arts or Science or equivalent with minimum aggregate of 15 and less.
