Unit Title:Β Education and Society
The course will provide opportunities for teacher trainee to study the following themes; the nature and relationships between education and society. The extent to which educational philosophies and themes form to clarify/resolve societal needs and issues. The educational and societal influences, impact and selected issues worldwide are also discussed and critiqued. Ultimately, this unit is set in the context of Solomon Islands. On the readiness of teacher education.Β This unit will prepare teacher trainee to address matters in relation to education and society.
