Unit Title: Professional Studies
In this unit, attention will be given to various theoretical frameworks of teaching and. Also the unit will consider research that has been done on the professional development of teachers. Another area that will be given emphasis is professional practice and standards in the Solomon Islands. Finally, the unit will look at continuing professional development and appraisal of teacher. The unit aims to allow students the opportunity to critically consider the areas mentioned above, by sharing their views, and reflect on their thoughts and experiences in teaching and learning and school leadership.
