📄 PRESS RELEASE | 7 OCTOBER 2026
The Solomon Islands National University (SINU) has formalised a sponsorship partnership with Reeves Envico Group to support the SINU Volleyball League, which will officially begin Thursday next week.
The Sponsorship Agreement was signed this morning by SINU Vice-Chancellor, Prof Transform Aqorau, and Reeves Envico Group representative, Mrs Dorcas Taupongi.
Under the agreement, Reeves Envico Group will provide SBD $18,000 in financial sponsorship towards the league, with the company receiving recognition and promotional opportunities throughout the competition.
Speaking at the signing, Vice-Chancellor Prof Transform Aqorau said sport plays an important role in creating a healthy and balanced university environment.
“Sport is important for our health and wellbeing, but it is also about bringing people together. Through sport, our students develop teamwork, discipline, leadership and a sense of belonging. These are qualities that are important not only on the volleyball court, but also in their studies, future careers and contributions to our country.”
The Vice-Chancellor also expressed his appreciation to Reeves Envico Group for its support, noting that partnerships with the private sector help the University provide meaningful opportunities for students beyond the classroom.
SINU is grateful to Reeves Envico Group for its valuable support and looks forward to a successful volleyball league that promotes health, teamwork, participation and student engagement.
