Two graduates of the Solomon Islands National University (SINU) Faculty of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Jimson Maedola and Mark Pitaboe, have departed for China to pursue Master’s degree studies at Yangzhou University.
The two graduates departed last Thursday, 27 August 2026, after being awarded Master’s scholarships by Yangzhou University. The scholarships provide an important opportunity for both graduates to advance their academic qualifications and further strengthen their expertise in agriculture.
Their postgraduate studies will contribute to building advanced knowledge and skills that can support the development of Solomon Islands’ agriculture sector upon their return.
SINU congratulates Jimson Maedola and Mark Pitaboe on this significant achievement and wishes them every success in their studies in China.
