The Solomon Islands National University (SINU) is pleased to announce that abstract submissions are now open for the 5th Pacific Ocean Pacific Climate Change Conference (POPCCC), scheduled to take place in Honiara from 14–18 September 2026.
The conference will bring together researchers, academics, students, practitioners, policymakers, and community representatives from across the Pacific and beyond to share knowledge, research findings, innovations, experiences, and practical solutions addressing climate change and ocean sustainability.
Interested participants are invited to submit abstracts for presentation through the conference abstract submission portal, now accessible online.

The conference serves as an important platform for regional dialogue and collaboration, supporting efforts to address the impacts of climate change and promote sustainable ocean management across Pacific Island countries.
This conference is organised by the Solomon Islands National University (SINU), the National University of Samoa (NUS), the Pacific Climate Change Centre (PCCC), the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP), Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington (VUW), and the Solomon Islands Government through the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, Disaster Management and Meteorology (MECDM), in partnership with Earth Sciences.
