ย The Solomon Islands National University (SINU) Vice-Chancellor (VC), Professor Transform Aqorau, held a two-hour session with all SINU staff this morning. VC Prof. Aqorau delivered an hour-long speech to SINU staff, commencing with a reflection on SINU’s journey and achievem
ents. Prof. Aqorau then discussed strategic goals and the path forward, emphasizing a triad of ambitious goals and the imperative of investment.
The VC called on all staff for action, stating, โI stand before you today, not just as your Vice-Chancellor but as a fellow steward of SINU’s legacy and future. I invite you to join hands with me in this noble endeavor. Let us work together with a shared vision and unwavering commitment to realize these goals. Together, we can transform SINU into a beacon of knowledge, innovation, and excellence, recognized not just in th
e Pacific but across the globe. As we move forward, let us embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead with courage, determination, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. Let us build a university that stands as a testament to our collective effort, a university that we, and the generations that follow, can be proud of.โ
The VC also captured the following areas in his speech; the current landscape of higher education, global trends in higher education, challenges and opportunities for SINU in this evolving landscape, navigating the evolving landscape, vision for the future of SINU, strategic reforms and initiatives, future plans for the academic year, elevating SINU, transforming educational structures, staff welfare and organizational culture, strategic imperatives for SINU’s future, infrastructure and resources, and SINU’s imperative for infrastructure and resource enhancement.
In his closing remarks, Prof.Aqorau calls for feedback and great participation from all-staff moving forward.
