Unit Title: Introduction to Organisation, Administration and Innovation in School Sport
This unit includes identification of competency-based, goal-oriented activities appropriate to Year 7 to Year 12 This unit includes instruction in the techniques, methods, and systems used in organizing and administering physical education, athletic, and intramural programs in secondary schools. Administrative responsibilities including program development, facility management, budgeting, public relations, personnel management, program and staff evaluation, and legal liability issues will be discussed. An emphasis is placed on understanding the administrative process to allow students to gain an appreciation, as well as ability to work with administers more effectively and efficiently within school systems.
