Unit Title: MAL and Government PolicesΒ Β
The unit covers the main functions and roles of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. It also explores the National Agriculture and Livestock policies that guide agricultural development in the Solomon Islands and the implications to government economic development strategies. The national policy under the ruling government and successive governments speculates national agricultural and rural development strategies, and key issues and constraints, goals and objectives, key activities and the key outcomes
The unit provides students with key issues and constrains, goals and objectives, key activities and key outcomes of the various departments within the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.
This course also enable agricultural students to learn and familiarize themselves with the functions within the different departments of the Ministry of Agriculture after they have graduated. Included that they be able to know how the agricultural policy fits into the agriculture development and how strategies can contribute towards the overall national development of the country.
