Dr. George Wilson Malefoasi is the newly appointed SINU Council member representing Health and Medicine. He is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Referral Hospital, a position he has held since 2020.
With over 32 years of experience in the health sectorβincluding 21 years in the Solomon Islands GovernmentβDr. Malefoasi has held leadership roles in public, private, and regional health, contributing to policy development and institutional strengthening.
He holds an MBBS from the University of Papua New Guinea and a Masterβs in Health Administration from the University of New South Wales, Australia. Originally from Sulufou in the Lau Lagoon, Malaita Province, Dr. Malefoasi is committed to advancing health education and improving healthcare outcomes in the Solomon Islands and the Pacific region.
