Solomon Islands National University will be offering a three-day intensive course for mid-level leaders in security-related roles across SIG ministries.

This course is designed to:
โœ… Review leadership styles and methods for higher-level roles
โœ… Strengthen ethical decision-making skills
โœ… Build collaboration and networks across ministries
โœ… Provide experience in a whole-of-government environment
โœ… Offer a micro-credential (stand-alone or credit pathway) within SINUโ€™s Security program.

The training will feature tok stori sessions to share lived experiences, foster interagency understanding, and strengthen peacebuilding and mediation skills.

Learning outcomes include:
1๏ธโƒฃ Understanding different leadership styles
2๏ธโƒฃ Applying principles of ethical leadership
3๏ธโƒฃ Leading effectively in teams and interdisciplinary settings
Minimum Entry Requirements:
โ€ข 5โ€“10 yearsโ€™ experience in a relevant SIG ministry, including team leadership
โ€ข English proficiency
โ€ข For the credit pathway: a tertiary degree
โ€ข For the non-credit pathway: completion of secondary school

๐Ÿ•’ Participation: 40 hours (27 hours class + preparation for assessed activities for credit students)
