The School of Education is a unit that makes up SINU and its primary role is to train teachers to teach in the Early Childhood, Primary and secondary education sub-sectors. These sub-sectors are provided by the Solomon Islands Government under the Teaching Services, Provincial Education authorities, Church Education Authorities and private authorities. Graduates of these teaching programs can find jobs with NGOs and even start their own schools, in particular the Early Childhood sub-sector. Many graduates of these programs had gone further to do higher training in the regional institutions.
