Overview


The department aims to provide an excellent and high-quality learning environment for students including practical hands-on training in tropical agriculture of relevance to the Solomon Islands and Pacific region. We value innovation, inclusivity, collegiality, and aim to create and empower future leaders in Agriculture. The academic staff help students attain the following graduate attributes: effective communication skills, global awareness, professional leadership capacity in their field, creativity and critical thinking, and being work-ready and job creators.

The programs emphasizes sustainability, requiring that students respect the environment and each other as future agricultural professionals. The prime goal of the programme is to equip learners’ cognitive ability with the needed academic and professional knowledge, technical and management skills, confidence and motivation that will enable them to successfully pursue careers in the administration and management of libraries and information centres. It also provides more learning opportunities at the higher educational level.
