This unit intends to prepare mariners to manage and operate vessels of less than 20 gross tonnage within the inshore waters. The areas covered are marine legislation and various safety procedures in watch keeping.
EK2Engineering knowledge1 & 2 5
This unit is designed for mariners who want to gain competence in the operation of machinery of small vessels. The areas covered will be OBMs, small diesel engines and involving mainly trouble shooting.
BRO2Basic Radar Operation1 & 2 10
This unit is designed for mariners who wants to gain competence in using the radar equipment correctly for position fixing and collision avoidance.
RT2Radiotelephony1 & 2 6
This unit is intended for mariners who want to gain competence in using radiotelephony equipment correctly for sending or receiving messages for the normal working operations and in times where safety of life and ship is in danger.
